Customer Experience Representative

Position Overview

HSA insurance is seeking a Customer Experience Representative to provide professional and effective customer service within a busy call-center environment. Primary responsibilities will include answering and responding to incoming customer calls in a proficient and timely manner. Will maintain detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services in order to analyze and identify appropriate solutions for customer’s needs. Successful candidates will have strong decision making and analytical abilities, and passion for delivering exceptional service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Field incoming calls regarding health insurance and benefits, billing services, and general questions or concerns
  • Respond quickly and accurately to all customer inquiries, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of products and processes. Facilitate escalations when appropriate.
  • Process customer payments over the phone, including explanation of the process and legal disclosures as needed.
  • Advise customers regarding policy and provides benefit information across multi-carrier health insurance plans. Provide assistance with the selection and  administration of health insurance plans
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of all products and services we offer. Analyze and identify which products best meet the client’s needs, and recognize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Navigate a computerized data entry system and other relevant applications. Familiarity with carrier websites is a plus
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a call center environment, major health insurance carrier preferred.
  • Strong understanding of benefits plans and the health insurance industry, including familiarity with HIPAA regulations and knowledge of current health care landscape
  • Proven track record of dependability/reliability with an exemplary attendance record.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability maintain a calm demeanor and de-escalate customer conflict.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and possess excellent attention to detail with exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Self- motivated with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team with minimal direct supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & Outlook.

Sales Executive, Employee Benefits

Full-Time Braintree/Billerica, MA, United States

Position Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for marketing and selling the HSA individual and group product portfolio to prospects, current accounts and through brokers. Additional responsibilities include selling new business (multiple lines) to help grow revenue by prospecting, uncovering needs, qualifying leads, fostering strong client relationships, and closing. The Sales Representative must demonstrate knowledge of employee health & benefits programs, services, and processes, and must possess strong retail selling skills and a command of sales support technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drives new business opportunities to the Agency through consulting and broker sales to clients.
  • Manages the complete sales process: pre-call planning, prospecting, quoting, proposal, negotiations, closing and implementation in coordination with other internal departments.
  • Manage and enhance existing client relationships by proactively ensuring effective and efficient delivery of world-class service and support to their accounts.
  • In collaboration with the Account Executive Team, coordinates quoting, generating proposals/fulfilling sales kits, tracking progress through the sales process, and following up as necessary.
  • Consistently delivers a positive brand experience when responding to inbound calls, initiating outbound calls, and following up with prospective members and accounts.
  • Effectively gather the necessary information to engage sales prospects, identify customers’ needs, offer the appropriate support, build value, present solutions, and close the sale.
  • Effectively utilizes sales technology, tools and best practices in prospecting & sales efforts.
  • Directly influences revenue generation and the growth and profitability of HSA.
  • Complies with all federal and state regulations that govern the sales process.
  • All other job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of insurance industry experience with a thorough understanding of all health and benefit plans design, rate structures, funding alternatives and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success in Outside Sales of Employee Benefits
  • Active Producer License for State of MA Life, Accident and Health, or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills in order to consistently meet deadlines, achieve assigned quota and overall individual goals
  • Displays teamwork and professionalism in all interactions internally and externally.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to build relationships, persuade, influence decision-making, negotiate sales, overcome objections and close
  • Must be self-motivated, be able to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects
